Recent work produced over the last five years by the Dutch artist Sylvie Zijlmans is presented in this exhibition catalogue. For the exhibition the artist played with the notion of controlling doom both as a remedy against primal fear and as a rich source of superstition and myth. The result is a body of work that joins photography and sculpture together and in turn creates images that acquire a fairy-tale meaning.
