Marijke Van Warmerdam: De Zwan En Het Schaap

Designed by Irma Boom and forming part of the ‘Glubbdubdrib' series, a project in which Dutch artists have produced books for children, Marijke van Warmerdam's simple but clever project, literally translated means ‘the sheep and the swan, the swan and the sheep.' Against the background of a typical Dutch landscape, Van Warmerdam used a mirror to capture reflections of sheep and swans, the sky, wild reeds, paddocks and an airplane. Containing no text, each photograph comes fully spread over two pages .
