Haris Epaminonda: v. I

Produced on the occasion of the first large solo exhibition by the Berlin-based artist Epaminonda this publication presents approximately 120 images in the first of an eventually planned three volumes. The artist has re-photographed images from books and magazines, details of images, places, situations and collections, with an instant Polaroid camera – a camera that ceased to be produced in February 2008. These images make the book appear as a photo album made by a well-travelled traveller, artist, anthropologist, or simply a tourist with the ambition of becoming one of these. Flipping through the image filled pages, the reader is taken through a poetic, surreal and uncanny maze of information.
