Blue Shots: Photographs By Erik Lindahl

Swedish photographer Erik Lindahl has a singular passion – the Blues – which has seen him repeatedly cross the Atlantic over the last 25 years to visit celebrated Blues locations in Mississippi, Texas, Louisiana, Chicago and Los Angeles. More than simply portraits of artists, these photographs also document festivities, hip clothing styles and everyday life, all against the backdrop of the gritty and fascinating environments that have shaped the music. Full page black and white photographs capture legendary performers such as Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker and Buddy Guy, along with other lesser known, but equally charismatic figures such as James ‘Tail Dragger’ Jones and T-Model Ford.
