O Jardim - The Garden

The Garden is a work in progress that I’ve been undertaking since 2009, when I moved my home outside of the city of Belo Horizonte, to it’s peripheral metropolitan region, in the banks of the BR-040 national road.
Living and wondering by this mixed class neighborhood, I realized that, by photographing there, I could talk about something thath I believe it’s common to the entire world: the urban expansion beyond it’s limits, the traces of the ocupation, and the schock of the man kind with the remanescent pieces of nature.
In this publication I had the opportunity of having the text “Red Earth”, written by the Spanish curator Alejandro Castellote.
