Documental project that registered the daily life of nine rural black communities - known as quilombos or mocambos - at states of Sao Paulo, Goias, Bahia, Pernambuco, Maranhao and Para. All of them are pioneer in the awareness of their historic and cultural values and in obtaining the right to live in the land that they currently occupy. This project was published by Anima in 2004 and received some important awards for its originality. It was also spotlighted in several foreign and national magazines and exposed in several capital cities of Brazil, Europe and Africa.
