The Veil Visible and Invisible Spaces

This is a catalogue of a traveling exhibition by critically acclaimed American, Middle Eastern and European artists who created art based on the veil. They address current clichés and stereotypes about the veil -- particularly Islamic practices -- with paintings, sculpture, photographs, videos, film, and installations, and reflects on the ubiquity, importance and profundity of the veil throughout human history and imagination.
