WB. Walter Benjamin a la (seva) frontera

"WB. Walter Benjamin at the (his) border" could also have been titled "L'últim dia de Walter Benjamin" ("Walter Benjamin's last day"). In this photo-text book, the author physically traces the supposedly trans-Pyrenean route that WB took on the last day of his life, September 26, 1940. Joan Sorolla documents it with photographs taken on the ground -just 80 years after the German thinker did it- and with texts, both by Benjamin and the author himself. From Banyuls to the Fonda de Francia in Portbou we can follow his last steps and enter into his way of thinking and understanding the world.
