Fragments of Chad
by Julien Maculan
In April 1994, I spent two weeks in the Republic of Chad with friends living in N’Djamena. It was my first long journey to Africa and a unique, immensely rich, experience.
As I discovered this large central African country, scarred by multiple civil and border wars, I captured images of the Chadian people and landscapes. You will find the most expressive ones in this photo essay.
