Alexandra Thannhäuser's passion for photography is closely linked to her fascination for the beauty of symmetry, lines and shapes that make up the successful architectural design of buildings and surroundings. In combination with reflections, the trained architect and media designer bridges the boundaries between two worlds and combines them into a captivating, previously imperceptible third. She teaches us a different way of seeing and tells us a completely new story, in which elements of buildings, streets and architectural details become silent actors in abstract compositions. For Thannhäuser, photography is a source of strength and a harbour to which she can retreat amidst the rapid changes of the world and immerse herself in the creative process.
