THE LAST YEAR OF THE DREAM MILLENNIUM

One's life is their most cherished blessing. Over the initial three years of the COVID-19 outbreak, when travel to other cities was restricted, I repeatedly risked my life in my own city,, Tabriz (more precisely, the whole East Azerbaijan province), contracting the virus multiple times to document those challenging times. My intent is for my photos to serve as poignant reminders of the fear, obsession, and anxiety that gripped us during that period. My sole aim was to impartially document and depict what unfolded, free from bias. I sought out inaccessible places and captured unprecedented scenes, My efforts pale in comparison to the relentless work of health- care professionals. All I could do was portray the courage, selflessness, and resilience of our community. This book offers a visual narrative from a journalistic perspective on the lasting hard- ships endured during the COVID-19 pandemic in my hometown of Tabriz.
