Arnold Newman's Americans

One of modern photography's most well known portraitists, Arnold Newman has been working since the 1940's. This volume is a celebration of his work is timed to coincide with a major restrospective exhibition at the Smithsonian Institution's National Portrait Gallery in Washington, DC. This is a chronicle of Newman's career and it includes portraits of such notables as Leonard Berstein, Frank Lloyd Wright, Gypsy Rose Lee, Robert Oppenheimer, Truman Capote and others.
