Published to coincide with the founding of The Irving Penn Collection and Archives at The Art Institute of Chicago, A Career is a sumptuously printed retrospective of one of the finest twentieth century photographers. It is also the only currently in-print retrospective. These images were personally selected by Penn and donated to the museum and are accompanied by several essays.
