Looking Back: Memoirs and Photographs

In 1946, Todd Webb began making photographs in earnest. He moved to New York City and started a journal. This memoir documents his time as a young photographer in New York City giving the full flavor of life there and of his associations with Alfred Stieglitz, Beaumont and Nancy Newhall, Harry Callahan, Helen Levitt, Minor White, Berenice Abbott, and Lisette Model.
