Visions and Visionaries: The Art and Artists of the Santa Fe Railway

The paintings commissioned by the Santa Fe Railway were largely responsible for creating the mystique of the Southwest. This books celebrates the foresight and vision of the Santa Fe Railway in establishing a collection policy that eventually included over 600 oil and watercolor paintings by such American masters as Moran, Blumenschein, Higgens, Ufer, Couse, Akin, Sharp, and Widforss.
