In 1959, Marilyn Silverstone began her fourteen year stay in India, studying Buddhism, eventually becoming an ordained nun. Prior to this time, Silverstone was an editor of Art News and an accomplished film producer and still photographer. In this book of color photographs Silverstone gives us her visual insights into a wide range of Indian and Himalayan experiences.
