Portraits: Photographs by Inge Morath

In this new monograph, Inge Morath has collected her most inspired portraits of many of the great writers and artists of our time. Playwright Arthur Miller, Morath's husband, has added his own reflections on the personalities included here. Among them are Philip Roth, Marilyn Monroe, John Huston, Alexander Calder, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Alberto Giacometti, Jean Cocteau, and Miller himself. Also included are Morath's very funny photographs of artist Saul Steinberg's paper, brown bag masks.
