American Classroom: The Photographs of Catherine Wagner

A few of Catherine Wagner's large-format photographs of classrooms devoid of people were reproduced in the Gallery Min catalogue of her work. Here we are treated to the larger body of photographs completed while on a Guggenheim Fellowship. These pictures are beautiful in and of themselves, and striking in terms of what is revealed through them about our educational system and the students and teachers who populate it.
