Guide to the Holdings of the Still Picture Branch of the National Archives

For the first time, this guide provides summary information about nearly six million photographic prints, negative, transparencies, posters, and other visual images in the custody of the National Archives Still Picture Branch. These images range from the photographs taken by Mathew Brady during the Civil War to slides produced by the Environmental Protection Agency during the 1970s.
