Eileen Cowin and John Divola: New Work, No Fancy Titles

This is the catalogue to a 1985 exhibition which paired the symbolic "docu-dramas" of Eileen Cowin with the enigmatic conceptual photographs of John Divola, in which geometric constructions are placed within a landscape. Curator Mark Johnstone contributes an essay discussing the concepts which are both source and product of such imagery. A nice sampling of the work of two thought-provoking contemporary photographers.
