Don Worth, Photographs 1955-1985 (Untitled Series No. 40)

Don Worth has been photographing along the West Coast for three decades. Although known best for his landscapes and plant images, his work also includes nudes, still lifes, and views of architecture bordering on the abstract. His recent work in color mixes multi-colored plant leaves with patterned fabric, resulting in rich, complicated images. Hal Fischer's introduction discusses Worth's somewhat faulty label as a "West Coast photographer" and the inevitable comparison to the work of Ansel Adams.
