Cycles: A Decade of Photographs (Untitled # 45)

Judith Golden is a contemporary portrait photographer who produces a wide variety of photographs utilizing the mixed media of theatrical makeup, collage, hand-coloring, drawing, juxtapositions, cut-outs and overlays. Her series deal with aspects of mythology, role models, the movies, masks, and the portrayal of women in media. The "Persona" series was made with the use of the Polaroid 20¨ x 24¨ camera with its surface subsequently painted. This beautifully printed introduction to her work from the Friends of Photography Unitled series, covers Golden's past decade of productivity.
