A selection of images from British photographer Sue Packer's extraordinary portrait series of babies. She has photographed each child in its home environment. Sometimes their mothers have dressed them up for the camera, sometimes not. The images are full of detail, leading viewers to speculate about the children's parents, their day-to-day life at home, even their futures. Critic Sarah Kent has called Packer's work "a stunning recored of the beginning of the social process." The photographs are nicely reproduced in duotone.
