Palm Desert

Using the lyrics and subject matter from a 1968 Van Dyke Parks song, "Palm Springs," as the leaping-off point for this visual companion to the song, photographer and design-guru Rudy VanderLans has created a little gem of a book. Cloth bound and wrapped with a narrow paper band as dustjacket, the book rounds off the readers' whole experience by including a CD of the original song along with 3 additional tracks by Itchy Pet, Honey Barbara, and Elliott Peter Earls.
