X=T: The Art of X-Ray Photography

Seiju Toda is one of Japan's leading art directors and a fine artist as well. Some of his most remarkable work is his 1986-1991 series of photographs shot with X-ray film using an industrial X-ray machine. The photographs depict wooden constructions which house living creatures or skeletal remains. The penetrating X-rays reveal what the eye cannot see, capturing four dimensions--life, time, architecture, and the unknown, with a mysterious, almost metaphysical beauty.
