I Dream a World: Portraits of Black Women Who Changed America

This magnificent book of portraits and interviews of seventy-five distinguished and admired black women, by Pulitzer Prize winning photographer Brian Lanker, is one of 1989's most endearing books of photographs. Included are authors, poets, artists, dancers, musicians, educators, lawyers, and politicians, among others. The exhibition of this work has drawn tremendous crowds and great press coverage.
