The quirks of the photographic process itself are the subject of many of Abelardo Morell's black-and-white photographs. Using unusual angles and dramatic close-ups, Morell manages to lend a new dimension to otherwise commonplace objects. Some of the most spectacular images come from a recent series in which he transforms an ordinary room into a modern-day camera obscura--projecting images from outside onto the walls within.
