Although Werner Bischof had made a name for himself as an abstract photographer prior to WWII, these images taken after the fall of Germany are some of the most poigniant and hopeful photographs recorded of the post-war situation. This little book, published by Motta in Italy for the Smithsonian, is printed nicely.
