Before Their Time: The World of Child Labor

In spite of treaties and international conventions addressing problems of economic exploitation of children, the control of child labor remains elusive. It is estimated that over 320 million children are working worldwide, most in hazardous jobs. This is their story, in words and photographs. These heartwrenching portraits of children at work, taken all over the world, are a call to action for all of us to be aware of this complex and tragic global problem.
