Island Women: Photographs of East end Women, 1897 to 1983

This booklet presents photographs largely from personal records, of women who lived or do still live in the Isle of Dogs in East London. Each photograph is accompanied by a short description of the subject's life, or a selection from her diary or letters. The photos are accompanied by Eve Hostettler's historical and informative introduction.
