Interior/Exterior, Full/Empty

Produced while Lorna Simpson was artist-in-residence at the Wesner Center at the Unviersity of Ohio, Interior/Exterior is a warm, alluring exploration of gender identity and eavesdropping. The work, originally pairing film stills with recorded dialogue, is presented as images with brief captions hinting at the hidden content, but barely revealing it at all.
