This excellent textbook, used in colleges throughout the country, contains clear illustrations of techniques including beginning, advanced, black-and-white, and color. Much detailed information is included regarding darkroom and studio work. For example, there is a section devoted to film processing problems--over 31 defects are illustrated with remedies given for all. The photographs chosen to illustrate the text ideas are taken from the rich history of art photography. A thorough and illuminating book that can be used as a reference for years to come.
