Based in the tradition of social documentary photography, Betrand Meunier’s images
are smoothly composed with his subject matter often deeply engrained with a
carbonaceous darkness that leaves no doubt as to the reality of what is depicted. In
this edition Meunier has captured and documented the seaside town of Séte, along
with its buildings and inhabitants, and in so doing depicts a place that is at once both
strange and isolated, yet comfortingly familiar.
