This monumental catalogue presents the entire holdings of photographic art--from the period 1905-1948--of the Musée National D'Art in Paris. Although it is primarily an exhaustive listing of the holdings and their physical and historical descriptions, the hundreds of illustrations--many unreproduced elsewhere--are invaluable as a resource to such artists as Brassaï, Claude Cahun, Robert Doisneau, Man Ray, and Josef Sudek. Almost all Twentieth Century masters are represented.
