Lynne Cohen: Lost and Found / L'Endroit du Decor (English and French Edition)

This elegant anthology of photographs by Ottawa-based Lynne Cohen is the catalogue for a travelling exhibition of her work. Cohen's black-and-white photos of classrooms, indoor shooting ranges, and laboratories have the uncanny atmosphere of a crime scene. While there are no humans present in these images, they abound in human and animal effigies. Cohen plays upon the ambiguity between the familiar and the incredible, apprehending the limbo between private and public life, where warm-blooded experience is processed and evaluated.
