Mohammed Dib photographed Tlemcen, Algeria in 1946. The images he made reveal a romance and magic--captured in the intricate tile work, prayer groups, and laughing children. Fifty years later, Philippe Bordas returns to the same places and the same feelings are remarkably intact. This book was the recipient of the Grand Prix de la Francophonie in 1994.
