Through the pages of this photo book, Thomas Chable documents his daughter as she grows up. The black-and-white snapshots capture the delicate distance that exists between a photographer and his daughter, as well as the intimacy and tension inherent in such an interaction. It poses questions about the ways in which such candid family snapshots by a photographer can come to be considered as art, and about the fleeting moments of fatherly happiness that eventually recede as a young girl matures into a young woman.
