Lee Miller's classic elegance embodied the style of a generation of fashion photography for Vogue magazine. She developed into a brilliant surrealist photographer herself as the protegée and lover of Man Ray, and later became a U.S. war correspondent covering the siege of St. Malo, the liberation of Paris, and the atrocities of Dachau.
