Danish photographers Trine Søndergaard (born
1972) and Nicolai Howalt (born 1970) joined annual
fall and winter hunts in Denmark to create their
series How to Hunt. Portraying the age-old practice
in its contemporary incarnation as a sport, the duo
investigates hunting’s transformation from a necessity
of survival to a symbol of cultural privilege.
