Alfred Stieglitz: Camera Work

Alfred Stieglitz' seminal journal Camera Work is noted for accomplishing two major goals. It was the first to expose the European Modern artists, Matisse, Rodin, and Picasso. It allowed Stieglitz to argue, successfully, for the acceptance of photography as an art form. It also established the importance of such photographers as Paul Strand, Gertrude Käsebier, Clarence White, and Frederick Evans. This reprint, complete with every image every published in Camera Work, is a tremendous resource for collectors and includes many of the key texts from the journal as well.
