I remember three piles of photographs on the living room floor of my childhood home. I held each one as if it were a gem—a priceless piece of family history. From then on, I was a photographer.
Raised on a lake, where fences were non-existent, I had the ability to roam freely - I bring a sense of discovery and wonder into photographs of my family in the natural world. I photograph my children growing up, all the facets of womanhood and family roots. The photographs we make today will be passed down generation to generation. I have exhibited in solo and group exhibitions throughout the United States, and will publish my first artist book, Sanctuary in the Wild in 2021.
