Christophe Maout (b. 1967) is a photographer born in Rennes (France) and based in Paris. After studying law in germany, he started collaborating with French daily newspaper Libération in 1992. He has been working with the French and international press ever since. These past years he has simultaneously been developing a body of work focusing on the city and its peripheral zones, exhibited since 2007 at the Villa Noailles in Hyères, the Rencontres d’Arles, the Rotterdam Fotomuseum, New York’s Danziger Gallery and in the French and European Fnac gallery circuit.
Between 2010–12 he posted reviews to Libération’s photo blog Zoumzoum, on various themes including the tableau.
