I came to live in England in the early 1990ies to study music in Manchester. After completing an MA in composing for film, tv and theatre I worked as a composer and sound designer for film&tv in Bristol where I now live.
Having had a life-long interest and passion for photography I began taking photographs in earnest 12 years ago and soon found that people, their emotions, reflections and responses to the rhythm of life is what most captures my imagination.
I find that - like music - photography can capture and reveal aspects of ourselves that are not readily put into words yet yearn to be expressed. For me being heard and being seen is as fundamental to our well-being as having enough to eat and drink and good, clean air to breath.
And so I am often on the lookout for images, moments and moods that capture what I feel are semblances of something authentically seen, felt or experienced - images that move me and enable me to recognise something of myself in them.
