About Cristóbal Carretero Cassinello

Cristóbal Carretero Cassinello is a photographer, graphic designer, and economics teacher based in Almería. With an established artistic career dating back to 2017, his work is part of the collection of the Andalusian Center of Photography (CAF). His photographic practice focuses on conceptual exploration, articulating a perspective that transforms the everyday into a setting for contemporary reflection. His work delves into the irrational and the search for invisible landscapes, turning the mundane into a space for visual construction. He was a finalist in the Descubrimientos PHotoESPAÑA program in 2020, 2023, and 2026. His photographs have been exhibited worldwide, notably at international centers such as Culture Lab LIC (New York, USA), the Los Angeles Center of Photography (USA), and the Portuguese Center of Photography (CPF). Additionally, his work has been featured in print and broadcast media, including *El País*, RTVE (La 2), *National Geographic*, *Vogue Italia*, and the New York-based channel NY1. During his career, he received an award at the 2017 Magnum Photography Awards (Magnum Photos, USA). Cassinello’s work is included in the collection of the Andalusian Center of Photography (CAF) in Almería.
