Damian Diaconescu first came in contact with photography in his father's laboratory when he was about 6 years old. His father was the head of the county's cinema department during the communist period in Romania.
During his long photographic activity of more than 40 years, he covered most of the photographic genres, especially portraiture. Since 1991 until the present moment he is the coordinator of the Iris Photography Club within the Student Cultural Center in Timisoara.
