French photographer with Russian roots, from Paris, Daniel Derajinski was raised into high level sport. Having lived in several region of France and United Kingdom, he is drawn to meeting with new people, learn from them and tell their stories.
His family history, from two religious minorities, has brought him to work on subjects about resiliency, belonging to a group, home and exile.
Graduated in photojournalism and creative documentary with the SPEOS Institute in partnership with the agency MAGNUM PHOTOS, he works now as a freelance photojournalist. He is distributed by ABACA PRESS agency and keeps working on documentary projects.
