Domingo Yagües Nuño is originally from the Tijuana Mexico border region where he resided until age 16.
Yagües Nuño developed an interest in art while studying photography with Pasha Turley in San Diego. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Cal State Fullerton studying with Eileen Cowin in Southern California. Furthermore he received a Masters of Fine Art from San Francisco State University studying with Lewis De Soto, Carlos Villa and Christine Tamblyn.
In 1994/95 Yagües Nuño was awarded a WESTAF Fellowship in photography, and in 1997 collaborative projects culminated in the Bay Area Artist Award from New Langton Arts and the Eureka Fellowship.
Yagües Nuño exhibited at the Bill Maynes Gallery in NYC and was part of the Axis Mexico exhibition curated by Betti-Sue Hertz at the San Diego Museum of Art.
