I am a full time family doctor and passionate amateur photographer.
I was growing in the environment surrounded with art, literature, nature and history sciences. So learning to sketch and draw, finding out about true art, gardening during summers, hearing stories about mankind and it's history was my side background besides school. And after choosing medical studies I was always looking for the field to express my artistic side and to show others how I see (or would like to see) the world.
I was always inspired with old gravoures and etchings, but I was never too brilliant in drawing. Photography was the medium I started to play with. At first learning basics with dslr camera, then looking for true process, using which I could be satisfied with the result.
So now using mostly only analogue techniques - medium format film camera, wetplate collodion - I draw with light the moments I see, or wish to see.
I create parallel world with my photographs, where I can escape from busy and anxious true life. It is like mindfulness for me. Maybe it is the reason why I search for the result (including the process itself), which takes me many years back. Where rush was not counted in minutes or seconds rather in days or months.
