About Filipe Silva

Filipe Silva defines himself in photography and in life as an environmentalist, adventurer and humanitarian. A traveler who has been infected by the addiction of constant curiosity to discover new places, new landscapes and new cultures.
His passion for nature has always been part of his life and as a teenager he spent much of his time surrounded by books that portrayed nature and especially wildlife.
After buying his first camera, he decided to portray the world, starting to travel around our planet in search of species, landscapes, cultures and traditions, specializing in nature photography, travel photography and anthropological and humanitarian photography.
Over time and with the countless trips he made, especially across the African continent, he realized that the human species, like other species, are threatened and need care, so he began work that has sought to document cultures, tribes and remote places where On the one hand, there is a strong man/nature relationship.
Therefore, nowadays he seeks to photograph the relationship between man and nature, showing places, species, cultures and landscapes where this relationship is threatened and the sustainability of nature and the human species is called into question. He also seeks to portray peoples and cultures that need mobilization from society so that, with the help of everyone, they can have hope for a better future.
