About Francesco Falciola

"Born in 1968 in Milan, I’ve been living here for most of the time. I started taking pictures using film cameras and I immediately wished to follow my interest freely and without any business commitment. So I decided it would not have been my job. I never practiced just one photographic genre because I preferred some aesthetics to specific subjects. I do believe beautiful things are often very near us and they cannot hide themselves in a proper way. I look for delight and pleasure in the commonplace. I let my curiosity drive me towards my surrounding world instead of looking for something can astonish people. The light tells me the best moment I can shoot. To search great images you must be prepared and you can do it only if you already learnt to observe reality in a sincere way.It doesn't matter if you shoot landscape, portraits, urban architecture or nature. Best images are not to document but they are born to tell or suggest stories.
